About 2008 Ferrari F430 Scuderia Spider 16M
2008 Ferrari F430 Scuderia Spider 16M:
Ferrari created the 430 Scuderia Spider 16M, an F430 droptop with all the 430 Scuderia's fast components, to commemorate the 16th title it won last year. The F1-Superfast2 automatic manual transmission, which does a one-to-two shift in 60 milliseconds, a race-tuned suspension, serving-dish-sized carbon-ceramic brakes, and a higher compression version of the 4.3-liter V-8 with 503 horsepower and 347 lb-ft of torque are among those modifications. The cabin is devoid of any comfort amenities, much as the 430 Scuderia. The interior is lined with carbon fiber and aluminum. The floor is covered only with diamond-plate-style metal that has visible welds as accents. There is no carpet.
The lightweight cloth-covered seats with carbon frames only have manual fore-and-aft and seatback-angle adjustments. Also covered in carbon fiber are the doors. The lone luxury feature is an iPod touch that is horizontally docked in the dash and plays music through six speakers, which confirms that a track-ready Ferrari has a sound system. But considering how loud this automobile is—possibly the loudest roadgoing vehicle we have ever driven—a it's wonder you can even hear it.
Nothing except a visceral, high-pitched scream can be heard while the engine is running at full throttle; this sound almost urges the driver to flog the car a bit harder. Beware though, we had the polizia hot on our heels after only one wide-open-throttle pass through the first three gears.
