2017 Aston Martin DB11 Volante Specifications

About 2017 Aston Martin DB11 Volante

2017 Aston Martin DB11 Volante:

Volante means "flying" in Italian and is Aston's designation for its convertible models.

The new Aston Martin Volante is a significant addition to the company's portfolio. According to Aston Martin CEO Dr. Andy Palmer, the open top GT is estimated to account for half of all DB11 sales globally.

The DB11 Volante will be powered by a new 496-horsepower, 4.0 -liter, twin-turbocharged V8 engine that debuted on the V8 Coupe.

Instead of the always-popular folding metal roof, Aston Martin chose a canvas soft top for the Volante. The canvas was chosen because it is easier to package and allows designers to keep the rear decklid's height low, keeping the DB11's clean aesthetics, according to Palmer. The convertible top may be operated at speeds of up to 31 mph and is controlled by the DB11's key fob.
