1997 AC Superblower Specifications

About 1997 AC Superblower

1997 AC Superblower:

The Superblower is AC's modern day equivalent of the legendary 60's Cobra, and the only car to be able to officially display the AC badge.

This time around power comes from a supercharged 4.9 litre V8, as opposed to the Cobra's enormous 7 litre. However, performance is on a par, with 60mph coming up in just over 4 seconds from rest and on to a top speed of over 160mph.

Interior trim is tastefully created in leather and aluminium but struggles to help justify the Superblower's hefty £70,000 price tag. Indeed, while straight line urge is undeniable, the Superblower seems to have inherited the Cobra's less than dynamic handling traits. Nevertheless, for nostalgic muscle car motoring there's nothing to touch it.
