2017 Ferrari 812 Superfast:
The exceptional 6.5-litre V12 engine and a car built around it. As the Ferrari states, the 812 Superfast is a replacement for the F12 Berlinetta. It’s a front-engined, rear-drive, two-seat super GT – something that has a special place in Ferrari history, tracing its roots all the way back to 250 GT.
The 812 is not a total rebuild but rather upgrade of the F12 Berlinetta. Let’s start with the engine, which has been expanded from 6.2 to 6.5 litres and equipped with 350 bar direct injection, variable geometry inlet tracts and the ability to rev to 8900rpm. It produces 789bhp at 8500rpm and 529lb ft at 7000rpm. It stayed naturally aspirated which is not so common nowadays.
